A student in my 5th period today said... and I quote

"Mrs. Guess.. um.. when you gonna lose your baby weight? I thought you was still pregnant..."

Of course this caught me off guard.. and trying to stay "professional" I told the girls they were being ugly. They said something else smart and I kinda lost it and said " Um.. when you gonna do somethin about your hair?" my class booed the girls then clapped! hahah not my finest moment as a teacher. They appologized later..

I personally don't think I look that bad! hahah, AND I am rocking this new hair do!

Tonight we were watching Cadillac Records and getting a little bored.. thankfully Miss Grace was in a good mood, we took pictures as she entertained us :)

Eric Isaac Barker 1980-2009

It happened around 9:40 a.m. on Highway 21, west of Highway 6 in front of the McDonald's restaurant.

Police say Eric Barker, 29, was riding his motorcycle westbound on Highway 21, when a black car headed east turned left to enter the McDonald's parking lot. That's when the car collided with the motorcycle.

Barker was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Health Center where he was pronounced dead.

Getting So Big!

Grace is finally able to fit into some of the cute clothes that I bought when we found out we were having a girl. We weighed her on Friday at she was right at 10 lbs! that a good gain, considering she was 5 lbs 13 oz! She has grown out of her newborn onesies and we are moving on to 0-3 month clothing YAY, let the fun begin :). I feel like she's starting to look like herself a little more and she is definately filling out. She has started smiling at us and is "talking" so much.
I started back to work on thursday... bittersweet. I was a mess in my car on the way to work, but I was just fine once my day started. It's going to be hard dropping her off at daycare, but I'm going to Scarlett O'Hara that, and think about it tomorrow :). Here are a few pics from this week.

Ok so, tomorrow I go back to work..... I really have no mature words..... THIS SUCKS!!

Grace is 6weeks old. She'll start daycare October 5th at 9weeks. Next week Mike will be staying home with her, which is great. And the week after we are very blessed to have both of our mothers split the week to keep her. She'll spend this Thursday with my mom and Friday with Jill (my sister). I am so lucky to have had 6 weeks with her, but I selfishly would like 6 months... I'm bummed. Here is a pic of our little squeaker at 6weeks, as you can see she is soooo advanced for her age.. HA

OH and BTW, She has been sleeping through the night for almost 3 weeks now. 10pm to 6:30 consistently :)

My Dad and Charlotte, or G and Charlie, were in town (from California) to see Grace for the first time this weekend. We celebrated my Dad's birthday and they soaked up Grace all weekend. My Dad was cracking us up, all he kept saying was "watch her little head" :) Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
